Pagoda

The Global Vipassana Pagoda, with its incredible gold dome - the largest brick made dome in Asia has relics of Gautama Buddha and is an internationally known meditation center.

Churches & Temples

A mix of Christian, Portuguese and Hindu influences that go back to the 16th century can be seen in the beautiful churches in Manori, Gorai and Utan.

Museum

The East Indian Museum at Manori provides an insight into the times, lifestyle and occupations of the East Indian Community. Conceptualised, planned and set up by the Mobai Gaothan Panchayat, the museum showcases the fervent attachment to the Catholic Faith, celebrations of Church festivals, traditional feasts, foods and sweets.

Gagan Giri

Near the ferry wharf is the very famous Gagan Gerri Maharaj that has the footprints of Lord Shiva. It attracts pilgrims from across the country.

Shiva Temple

Just as you get off or on the ferry, you can visit the Shiva Temple next to the jetty.
